Lord Darcy, Lady Éimí (NPC)
Winter, Year 763 of the New Age
Glenmore, Royal Glades

Mentioning Princess Elena & Family

He trotted through the royal glades, the cold air nipping at his coat. Stags strolled with their ladies, some exchanging heated lookes. The lord skirted around them, not looking to get caught up in any fighting today. He had risen early with one plan for the day, to speak with his sister. He prayed she would be home in her Lord's glade, and quickly Darcy made his way there. The glade was tucked away in part of the forest, not as close to the glades as some desired, but Darcy knew the area well. The large trees that encircled the dens came into view, a young guard standing outside the entrance.

"Lord Darcy. I am here to visit my sister, Lady Éimí."
The chestnut stag looked up at the older lord with a blank expression, fumbling through his mind as what to say. "Y-yes, of course! She mentioned a brother, yes!"

Darcy stepped into the glade and glanced around. One doe lay asleep outside with a young colt, the rest of the glade was empty. He knew his sister's mate to have several does, a traditional harem.
Éimí always exclaimed she was his first, and thus his true love. He laughed at her exclamation of true love yet with a stag who lay claims to one doe and with an idea to propose to his sister, he began to consider her once foolish statements.

"My dear brother, how nice it is of you to stop by!" A soft voice rang from one of the dens as the pale figure of his sister approached. A small colt clung to her side with wide eyes. Darcy met the colt's eyes, but turning his greeting toward his sister. He knew she had other fawns, and wouldn't be surprised if she would be carrying one his year. She always had wanted to be a mother, and Darcy smiled her love for young fawns. She knew exactly who she was and where her place was.

"Go run off little one, I need to talk with Lord Darcy." Her voice was a soft coo as she nudged the colt off. "You just visited, why so soon m'lord? Has it something to do with mother or father?" Her voice hadn't changed since when they were fawns, it was innocent, sweet, and left Darcy only to wish his sister would remain this happy forever.

"No, they're fine. I was thinking we could...talk." He strode away from the glade, not wishing for the Guard or another Lady to overhear his words.

"Talk? What about? Is it about my Lord?"

"No." He cast his eyes down to his younger sister. She held a blank expression, confused on her brother's demeanor. They rarely had meaningful conversations,
Éimí only recalling his speech on politics the last time they met.

"What do you know of Lord Braith?" Darcy questioned softly, his sister's eyes rising with a smile. She had an ear for politics, even if no one knew about it, and gossip was an area she didn't just dabble in.

"Two daughters, several sons, well liked. I believe I met him once. Spoke nicely, very traditional. Good, good." Darcy nodded, the doe continuing to speak. "The younger daughter is recently betrothed, very nice Lord though I don't know him. Ah but her older sister, she's a beauty? Have you met her? If only one of my daughters could have that coat!"

Darcy nodded his head, keeping his eyes on the forest with little expression. "I have met her, we had a brief conversation passing by in the Glades."

"Really? Well I hear she's had two betrothed and no fawns, how horrible! I feel oh so very bad for her loss, yet wonder if any stag would want her." She laughed to herself. "Please excuse me brother, I'm sure she will be betrothed soon to a good Lord."

Her voice continued to talk, Darcy stumbling over what to say. "You've always been jealous of princesses haven't you?" He chuckled and she pleaded for him to forgive her comments. He did not care for her silly whimpers at the moment.

"Can you only imagine me being betrothed
Éimí?" He casually turned the conversation around, waiting to hear what she would have to say.

"Oh Darcy you can only dream! Though I wouldn't be surprised if you were approached, even I admire your coat!" She smiled at her brother. "We should talk more often, this is like when we were fawns."

Darcy could only nod, thinking about her words carefully. "Do I stand a chance, that's my question?"

"Ignore me Darcy, I spend too much of my time dreaming. My brother is no paleface, no commoner. You are worthy of being known, don't ever forget that, princess or not." She smiled and bowed her head, taking leave to return to her fawn. "Goodbye brother, you do know how I would love a sister-in-law!"

If Éimí approved there was nothing that could change Darcy's mind, he was off to the King himself now.
Darcy going to his sister, who has an opinion on everyone, for some advice about Princess Elena :dummy:
